How we stack up
against the real alternatives.

We're not the only option. Here's what each platform does best, what each leaves out, and where we think Confanum fits — for fan conventions, faires, festivals, and the events that don't fit a corporate-event-tech mold.

Feature information based on each company's public marketing as of April 2026. Comparison is for general orientation; we encourage you to validate current capabilities directly with each vendor. Third-party trademarks are property of their respective owners.

Primary head-to-head

vs Leap Event Technology

Parent of GrowTix, ShowClix, Ticketbooth, TicketLeap, Greencopper, Epic Photo Ops

Leap is six acquired products being unified into one ticketing-revenue business. Confanum is one platform built for the operational reality of running a convention.

Honest concession: If you need physical box-office terminals, RFID wristbands, dedicated on-site staff, and a tier-1 marquee customer roster for board approval, Leap has more installed infrastructure than we do. We integrate with the scanners and printers you already own, and we run mobile QR + self-serve kiosks. Most fan cons are moving in that direction; some still want hardware-heavy on-site ops, and that's a fair reason to stay with Leap this year. Either way — we'd still rather talk to you about your operations stack.
Coexistence over competition

vs Eventeny

Festival + vendor-marketplace platform

Eventeny is great at what it's great at — artist alley jurying and vendor management. Most of our prospects who run Eventeny keep running Eventeny. We handle everything else.

Tiered: Free / $60 / $120 / $240 monthly
Scenario A — Coexistence: If artist alley is a major operational pain for your event, Eventeny is worth a look — they're the leader for that workflow. Most of our customers who use Eventeny keep using Eventeny for the artist/vendor side and run Confanum for ticketing, schedule, volunteers, panels, reserved seating, and multi-year analytics. The two systems coexist cleanly.
Scenario B — On the free tier: Eventeny's free tier sends your visitors to eventeny.com (their domain, their checkout, their marketplace). Confanum's free WordPress plugin runs your event on your domain — your branding, your checkout, your data. Same starting price ($0). Materially different experience. See the WordPress plugin tiers.
If you're outgrowing your ticketing tool

vs Eventbrite

Self-serve generalist ticketing platform

Eventbrite is the right place to sell a single event. A convention is not a single event — it's an operation.

Honest concession: Eventbrite is the right tool for sub-2,000-attendee single-day events with no panels and no volunteer program. Lots of veteran chairs ran their first event on Eventbrite — we respect the path. The moment your stack starts including SignUpGenius, Submittable, Sched, and a separate spreadsheet for vendors, that's when we start helping.
If you're shopping corporate-events platforms

vs Eventtia

Corporate & luxury-brand event platform (Pernod Ricard, Cartier, Dior, BMW)

Eventtia powers Cartier and Dior corporate launches. We power Pensacon and Creation Entertainment fan conventions. Different operational shape, different bullseye. Most of our prospects don't shop Eventtia — but if you're a multi-event org with a corporate sister-property, here's the honest read.

Yes — Networking tier ($3,500/yr)
Honest concession: Eventtia is excellent for corporate launches, B2B trade shows, and luxury-brand client events — they have the references and the matchmaking depth that audience needs. If your event is a roadshow or B2B summit with attendee-matchmaking as a core requirement, evaluate them seriously. For fan conventions, faires, festivals, and the operational reality of guests + vendors + volunteers + panels + photo ops, we're the better fit.
Access control · Confanum Access

Most platforms scan a ticket at the gate and let an attendee in. Confanum Access turns the gate into a coordination layer — VIP alerts, role-gated areas per ticket class, tiered greetings, real-time attendance flow. See how it works.
