Each App is published on behalf of an event organizer ("Organizer") and powered by Confanum ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

2. Information the App Collects

Information You Provide

• Name and email address (if you create an account or submit a form within the app)
• Survey or Q&A responses submitted through in-app features
• Scavenger hunt check-ins and other interactive feature participation

Information Collected Automatically

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Push notification token (if you enable notifications)
• General usage data (screens viewed, features used, session duration)
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics

Information the App Does Not Collect

• The App does not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature
• The App does not collect precise GPS location data. Approximate location may be inferred from your IP address
• The App does not track you across other apps or websites

3. How Information Is Used

Information collected through the App is used to:

• Display event schedules, guest information, maps, and other event content
• Deliver push notifications about schedule changes, announcements, and event updates
• Enable interactive features such as Q&A, scavenger hunts, and virtual queues
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Generate anonymous, aggregate analytics for the event organizer (e.g., most viewed sessions, peak usage times)

4. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with:

• The Event Organizer: The Organizer who published the App may receive aggregate analytics and, where applicable, form submissions or Q&A responses you submit
• Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App, including cloud hosting (AWS), push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging / APNs), and analytics
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Push Notifications

The App may request permission to send push notifications. These are used for event announcements, schedule changes, and organizer messages. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device settings:

• iOS: Settings → Notifications → [App Name]
• Android: Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Notifications

6. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored on secure servers in the United States
• All data is transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption
• We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information
• Event content (schedules, guest info, maps) is cached locally on your device for offline access

7. Data Retention

Event-related data is retained for the duration of the event and a reasonable period afterward to allow attendees continued access. Anonymous analytics data may be retained longer. If you submitted personal information through the App (e.g., a form or account), you may request its deletion by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights and Choices

• Notifications: Disable push notifications through your device settings at any time
• Data Deletion: Request deletion of any personal information by contacting us
• Uninstall: You can remove the App and all locally cached data at any time by uninstalling it from your device

10. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to external websites or services (e.g., ticket purchase pages, social media profiles, sponsor websites). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
